Long Bay Beach Getaway: A Relaxing Stay at The Shore Club, Turks and Caicos

5.16.2024 – 5.19.2024 || Long Beach Bay | Turks and Caicos

Where We Stayed:

We stayed at The Shore Club in Long Bay Beach which we booked through Elizabeth and her team at Souvenir and Far. If you are looking for a quiet, smaller beach in Providenciales, Long Bay Beach is for you. We were drawn to The Shore Club for the location and the amenities such as four pools, a spa, a tennis court and various restaurants. The hotel grounds were very modern and just as stunning as the pristine white sand beaches and clear ocean water. We booked a room that faced the pool that came with a great sunset view.

What We Did:

We were looking for a few days of R&R and alternated between the beach and one of the various pools. The ocean water was incredibly warm , very calm with little to no waves, and was no deeper than waist high. The only thing missing was the raft that I took to Playa de Carmen a few years ago.

There are four pools at The Shore Club. We tended to hang out at the main pool and the one with the swim up bar depending on the time of day.

The Dune spa at The Shore Club is not to be missed. A series of bungalow style buildings in a private setting alongside the beach made it ideal for a relaxing morning to start my birthday! We got a couples massage and a champagne send off from the staff.

Access to a tennis court was one of the reasons that we chose to stay at The Shore Club. It was nice to be active for a bit before lounging at the beach and pool for the remainder of the day.

Where We Ate:

There was breakfast in the morning in the Almond Tree’s courtyard. There was a standard buffet and a unique set of offerings. I tried the huevos rancheros (second photo below) and mung beans with fresh coconut (far right photo below).

We ate lunch at the pool each day. The Colonnade is located at the main pool and Sea Grapes is at the pool with the swim up bar. I enjoyed the mahi mahi tacos, tuna sushi, ceviche, and some spring rolls over the course of our stay. The spicy margaritas and aperol spritzes were great, too.

We ate at Coco Bistro the first night. Reservations are suggested and highly recommended. Be sure to contact them several weeks in advance of your trip if you want to dine in a palm grove under swaying palm trees. We tried conch two ways, and two of their tuna dishes. I also recommend bringing bug spray any time you are dining outdoors in TCI.

The second evening we dined at Sui-Ren at The Shore Club. The open air restaurant features Asian and Peruvian inspired dishes and is one of THE places to be on a Friday evening for their sushi special. The mahi mahi ceviche and the miso black cod were two of the best things I ate on this trip.

The furthest we ventured out for dinner was to Marine Room, a Mediterranean coastal-living themed restaurant in Grace Bay. Marine Room is known for being a great spot to catch the sunset. Make a reservation for an ocean facing table indoors as this was one of the only places with air conditioning that we came across. The food was reminiscent of our trip to Italy last year and all around delicious. I recommend the insalata caprese and the homemade linguine with clams.

That’s a look into how we spent three nights in Long Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos.

Question: We had a very relaxing vacation and spent most of it at The Shore Club in Long Bay Beach. What is your favorite way to vacation in Turks and Caicos?
