Hi! My name is Nicole and I am writing from Falls Church, VA outside of Washington, DC. After 15+ years of traveling the world, I started this site to share my love of travel and the planning that goes into any adventure. To date, I have been to 6 continents, 37 countries, and 37 states since setting off to explore the world.

While I have a travel guide book (mostly Fodor’s) for nearly every trip ever taken, I also have Excel or Word documents for many of those trips. My preferred form of research is to talk to friends/family, look for blogs with similar interests, watch travel shows, etc. There is a lot of highlighting, a lot of Post-it flags, and a lot of notes that end up in those documents.

This works while preparing for a trip and is easy to reference while on said trip but many of my documents have been emailed to friends/family over the years so why not create a one stop shop where all of my travel research and post trip notes can be housed so that I can simply refer someone to a website?!

Oh, and I also really like champagne so that’s how champageonplanes was came to be in 2017!

Some of my favorite and most memorable trips have been to Barcelona, Turkey, Japan, and Hawaii.
