We spent part of the week leading up to Halloween in Mexico and absolutely loved the all-inclusive experience at the Fairmont Mayakoba. We’ve always reserved beach trips for visiting our friends who live in Bermuda or family who live at the Jersey Shore, using other vacation time to explore new cities and other countries.
After a ski injury at Whistler in February and buying a townhouse in August, we had our sights set on recharging our batteries at the beach where the only planning we did was to find a direct flight to warmer weather. While we technically went to Playa del Carmen, we never left the Fairmont Mayakoba so this recap is really all about where we stayed and why we can’t wait to go back!
Here are some highlights:
The Fairmont Mayakoba is a beautiful beachfront property nestled in a tropical forest, surrounded by lagoons
Drinking champagne on the beach
Eating lunch on a swing at the beach bar hut
The beach area casistas (suites) have a private rooftop pool (float not included)
Watching the sun rise from the beach
Head on over to my Playa del Carmen page to read more about our beach vacation.
Question? Have you been to Playa del Carmen or Cancun? Where did you stay? What did you do?
Looks awesome!!! Take me back with you next time!! The sunrise pic at the end reminds me of your honeymoon one!!

Deal! Good memory, that is what I was going for but I still prefer the one from Bali!
