Playa del Carmen, Mexico: R&R in the Riveria Maya

We spent part of the week leading up to Halloween in Mexico and absolutely loved the all-inclusive experience at the Fairmont Mayakoba. We’ve always reserved beach trips for visiting our friends who live in Bermuda or family who live at the Jersey Shore, using other vacation time to explore new cities and other countries.

After a ski injury at Whistler in February and buying a townhouse in August, we had our sights set on recharging our batteries at the beach where the only planning we did was to find a direct flight to warmer weather. While we technically went to Playa del Carmen, we never left the Fairmont Mayakoba so this recap is really all about where we stayed and why we can’t wait to go back!

Here are some highlights:

The Fairmont Mayakoba is a beautiful beachfront property nestled in a tropical forest, surrounded by lagoons

Question? Have you been to Playa del Carmen or Cancun? Where did you stay? What did you do?
