Facebook has been reminding me of one of my most memorable trips. Five years ago this week, we were in Turkey! We covered a lot of ground over the course of 12 days, including the cities of Istanbul, Selcuk, Bodrum, and Cappadocia.

What’s so great about Turkey?

Istanbul is the world’s only city located on two continents.

The cities and landscapes are gorgeous and incredibly diverse.

The mosques are magnificent from any distance.

The ruins are well-preserved and ideal for exploring.

You can sleep in a cave hotel.

You can watch the sun rise from a hot-air balloon.

You can take a dip in the Mediterranean.

And much more! These are just the highlights so head on over to my Turkey page to read more about our trip and to see a day by day itinerary to plan your own trip!

Question: What is your favorite reason for visiting or wanting to visit Turkey?
