Things to do in Washington, DC (and nearby)

If you are coming to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms or plan to come to the area soon this post is for you! I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, came to Washington, DC to attend American University and have been in the area since. I love being a tourist in a city that has been my home base for the last 20 years. There are so many things to do in the DC area. I am still finding new things to do and thought it was time to document my recommendations. I spent some time during the pandemic compiling a list of my favorite things to do in DC and nearby in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia within a 2-ish hour drive.
