I read that Palm Springs is known for rest, relaxation, and retail. After spending four days, four nights in the Palm Springs area I wholeheartedly agree, however, I would add recreation to the list to cover how we spent our time in Southern California. We enjoyed recent trips to Florida and Arizona where the morning activity was tennis followed by lounging at the pool, seeking out great meals, and local experiences. This trip was no different.
Here are some rest, relaxation, recreation, and retail highlights from the greater Palm Springs area.
La Quinta Resort & Spa was the ultimate place to rest.

We had zero problems relaxing at one of the 41 pools. We rotated between these two pools located steps away from our casita.

Tennis was the main recreational activity that drew us to Palm Springs and La Quinta Resort.

Joshua Tree National Park was another recreational activity highlight.

Retail was a surprising and fun highlight to this trip. As a birthday present I got to shop in Trina Turk’s flagship store in downtown Palm Springs.

Head on over to my Palm Springs page to read more about our vacation in the Southern California desert to see where we ate and what else we did while staying at La Quinta Resort & Spa.
Question: What other locations have the 4Ps (rest, relaxation, recreation, and retail)?
